Digit Height and Viewing Distance

Taller digits are readable from farther away. Measure the distance from the farthest seat to the wall where the display will hang, and choose digits that look comfortably large from that point.

Small digits are fine for a compact reception desk. Large halls, bank floors and hospital waiting areas need bigger digits.

When unsure, choose the larger size. A clear number reduces repeated questions to staff.
